Dear Pixie,

At what age should one stop using the word "party" as a verb?
As in, "are we going to party tonight?"
My wife insists that now that I'm 30, it's a non-starter.
But I think as long as it's used in appropriate situations, it's perfectly fine.
What say you?

Sincerely,
RockinInReno

Dear RockinInReno,

I understand your wife's point of view.  "Party" as a verb gets old real fast. Still, at 30, you are not old. All I have to say is that if you are a "party" as a verb guy -- then be that guy. It won't make your wife happy, but hey -- she married you. Be prepared for eye rolls and heavy sighs. Be prepared to be made so uncomfortable when you say "party" as a verb that you may not want to "party" tonight.  You can only be yourself so try not to let your wife control your vocabulary...even if it is inevitable.

Under Where?

Dear Pixie,

Free advice...how great! I have a question. I have been dating this guy for about three months and I am thrilled he likes me. One problem...My boyfriend wears tighty-whities and I think they are a total turn-off. This guy can date anyone, but he chose me. How do i let him know that i don't support his "choice"?

--Question#1

Dear Question #1,

Thank you for your question. Here's the thing -- YOU can date anyone and you chose your boyfriend. If you don't like his tighty-whities then say something, silly!!!  The worst that could happen is that he dumps you for saying you don't like his underwear or ... he could slap you !? I dunno, if either of those two things happen I would be shocked.

If you truly fear being slapped or dumped then I suggest you go all passive aggressive on his ass. Go to the GAP or Old Navy and buy him at least three pairs of your "choice" of what he puts on his bottom. I have never known a man to turn down free, clean underwear.
